Medical Center Parañaque, Inc. was founded in November 12, 1977.  It was founded by a group of enterprising physicians and businessmen that year.  Initially, it was authorized by the Department of Health to operate a 50 bed capacity with services such as Operating and Delivery Rooms, diagnostic analogue X-Ray, Laboratory, Nursery, Dental clinic, Pharmacy, ICU, and ambulance services.  On July 31, the Security Exchange Commission approved the incorporation of the hospital.   From a level story building, it was forced to add to more floors to accommodate its increasing patient load and medical staff. 

MCPI evolved to be the largest tertiary Level teaching and training hospital in Parañaque City.  It sits on a 7,627 meter square lot along Sucat Avenue, 1 km from the Southbound SLEX off ramp which accounts for its primary location.  MCPI, a private corporation, has 832 stockholders composed mostly of physicians who excel in their respective fields of specialization, prominent business people and household owners of nearby subdivisions.

During 2015.  MCPI started to reconsider its position.  The only way to go is to be a Referral Center.  This gave rise to the new 20,000 square meter building housing the following special areas.

1. 22 station Fresinius Dialysis High Flux Machines with provision for isolation and infectious cases as well as portable machines for the ICU and OR areas.

Comprehensive Visual Center complete with a Carl Zeiss Lumera microscope, Visalis 500 Phaecomachine, Optical Coherence Tomography, Green Scan Laser Photocoagulator, Optical Biometry, Ophthalmic Photo-Disruption Laser, Specular Microscope, B-Scan, Non Contact Tonometer, Refractor, Autorefractor and keratometer, Slitlamp, OCT-A (software for RS 3000, A-Scan Chart, Autolensmeter; 

3. Comprehensive Rehabilitation Medicine Center with Zimmerman EmField Pro ElectroMagnetic Therapy for pain relief; Zimmer EnPuls Version 2.0 New Generation which is a Ballistic Radial Shockwave; Zimmerman Cryo6 Skin Cooling; - 30* C Cold Air for musculoskeletal treatment; Zimmerman Mediln Systems TK (Radio Frequency).

5. Neurosurgery Center for both open and minimally invasive i.e. coiling of brain blood vessels EEG and NCV for mapping of lesions, the usual craniotomy from AESCHOLAB and other neurosurgical wares. 

6. Biomolecular laboratory which adheres to the structural and training requirements of NIH PGH and RITM.  We will have manual, semi automatic and fully automated RT-PCR machines for a 2 HOUR turn around time for the results.  This will be manned by bio molecular medical technologists trained by RITM and have passed the special exams.

7. Upgraded for Obstetrics and Gynecological studies such as OB Ultrasound and later on the projected brachytherapy for malignancies in this field.    

8. Proposed Cancer Center complete with Linac, Radiotherapy, Brachytherapy, PET Scans.p for the very near future.
